Maryland has part of the answer to the offensive line now in the fold. Former NC Central offensive lineman Corey Bullock has flipped his commitment from Cincinnati to Maryland following this weekend’s official visit. Maryland hosted a handful of priority linemen this weekend as head coach Mike Locksley has played a key role in addressing next year’s starting rotation. Bullock became a prime target for Maryland after entering the transfer portal back on December 29 as running backs coach Elijah Brooks led the way with the 6-foot-4, 315-pound lineman. “Getting our guys from the Maryland area to stay home and win the Big Ten championship,” Bullock said was the main message from the staff. After signing as an unrated prospect out of Gwynn Park (MD), Bullock drew four starts in eight appearances as a true freshman. Bullock was named All-MEAC Second team as a sophomore after playing both tackle and guard and allowing just one sack in 11 games. After ending his career as an HBCU champion and All-American, Bullock started all 12 games for North Carolina Central last season and was named All-MEAC First Team. Bullock kept the Terps under prime consideration down the stretch until his official visit to Cincinnati threw a wrench in his decision. Originally planning to enroll with Cincinnati on Thursday, Bullock opted to hold off after learning his financial aid agreement was non-binding. That gave the Terps a chance to change his mind down the stretch as Bullock opted to delay enrollment one week. Now, he’ll head to College Park with one year of eligibility remaining where he’ll fill the vacant starting guard spot next season. “Growing up as a kid I always wanted to be a Terp so now I’m blessed with the opportunity to go on an official visit.” Related Links IMG 7-footer Braden Pierce sets official visit to Maryland Preview: Maryland looking to maintain momentum on the road vs. Iowa Where Things Stand: 2024 Recruiting (+) Tidbit on Harbor, Harris twins (+) Will there be a new #1 in College Park this season?
