Maryland catches the eye of Big Ten verbal following visit

2025 St. Michael (VA) four-star safety Remington Moss is no stranger to Maryland as he made himself a familiar face on campus over the last ten months, especially in the spring, but the 6-foot, 175-pound junior made his way to campus for his first game of the season to watch the Terps take on Michigan. Though the Terps fell to 4-3 inside The Shell, battling back from a 20-point first-half deficit caught the eye of the Big Ten verbal. “I kind of just got there and watched the game honestly. It was a good game for sure. The way it came down to the end. I don’t think anyone expected them to fight like that and for it to be that close,” Moss told IBG. “It was a really good game. it was really the vibe. Just felt like everyone, the receivers, DBs, they were doing their thing. They really showed out.” Maryland was among the top suitors for Moss before the four-star committed to the Badgers back in early August, and after making his way to Madison for the games against Ohio State and Rutgers, Moss has taken note of the success under first-year head coach Luke Fickell. “They kind of got banged up toward the middle of the season but now they’re back on track. They just became bowl-game eligible so that was pretty important,” Moss added. The Badgers have made the DMV a focus ever since Fickell took over and with his junior season complete, Moss can envision visits elsewhere into the spring but for now, he’s solidly in the fold. “I’m pretty locked it. It was kind of a nostalgic experience on Saturday because I’ve been there so much but I’m definitely locked in. I’m always rooting for them, except when they’re playing Wisconsin.” Remington Moss is rated a 90 overall and a four-star prospect by On3, sitting as the sixth-best player in Virginia.
