Maryland basketball stays perfect in Italy with 105-40 win vs. Bassano Pro All-Stars

Maryland basketball wrapped up their third and final game of the Italy trip in a dominant 105-40 win against Bassano Pro All-Stars, cruising to 3-0 during the international trip. Freshman Jamie Kaiser’s double-double led the way with 17 points and 12 rebounds while knocking down a pair of threes and remaining a perfect 5-of-5 from the free-throw line. Caelum Swanton-Rodger added 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting. Jahari Long added 15 points, four rebounds, three steals and a pair of assists while Julian Reese added another ten points and eight rebounds. https://twitter.com/TerrapinHoops/status/1688631106411597825 Freshman star DeShawn Harris-Smith almost finished with a double-double, adding nine points and rebounds along with four assists, while all three of Noah Batchelor’s buckets came from three. Maryland shot nearly 50% from the floor, finishing 39-of-80, while holding ProCamp to 12-of-52 shooting. After taking a 59-28 lead into halftime, Maryland allowed just two points in the third quarter and 12 through the final half. After checking out Florence, the team made the three-hour trip to Venice where they enjoyed gondola rides through the canal before getting the chance to tour the city at their leisure. Maryland will wrap up the Italy tour with a trip to Lake Como before returning stateside. Maryland will open the 2023-24 regular season against Mount St. Mary’s on Nov. 7 at the Xfinity Center.
