Maryland baseball released its 2025 schedule on Thursday. The 2025 season will be Matt Swope's second at the helm and the first with the newly expanded Big Ten.
Â
The Dirty Terps will open their season at the Swig & Swine College Classic in Charleston, South Carolina and will play a round robin tournament against UAB, Ball State, and Mercyhurst beginning February 14. After hosting Delaware, Maryland will hit the road to face Western Carolina, Princeton and Wake Forest before returning to The Bob to host James Madison on March 5.
Â
Conference play for Maryland begins on March 7 for Maryland at home when they take on UCLA for the first time since knocking the Bruins out of the 2015 NCAA Tournament. The Terps will also head to Seattle to face Washington for the first road series of the season, and will welcome Oregon to College Park in April.
Â
The most notable part of Maryland's schedule is a midweek date with Virginia, the first matchup between the Terps and the Cavaliers since 2015. The game will take place on Tuesday March 11 at Virginia Credit Union Stadium, home of the Fredricksburg Nationals. Maryland will also travel to USF in March while hosting Mount St. Mary’s (March 12)), Georgetown (March 18) and George Mason (March 25).
Â
The Terps finish out their season at home against Rutgers May 15-17. The Big Ten Tournament will once again take place at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska, May 20-25. Game times and television designations will be announced at a later time.
Maryland returns several key contributors from last season's 34-win team including the Hacopian brothers and Elijah Lambros. Swope also signed several transfers over the offseason, including Hollis Porter (Mississippi State), Liam Willson (Wake Forest), Aden Hill (VCU) and Jack Wren (Marist).
