Maryland is coming off a big week after reeling in five commits starting on Friday, and they added more size to that in the trenches on Tuesday night after Milford Mills (MD) three-star offensive lineman Amory Hills announced his commitment. Hills, a 6-foot-4.5, 310-pound lineman, committed to Maryland after taking an official visit back on June 13. Hills also took official visits to both Penn State and Virginia Tech in June as he bunkered down into decision mode coming out of the final weekend. “Coach Locksley was talking about his stories in the presentations and that was something that really stuck out,” Hills told IBG after his official visit. “They definitely showed how I was definitely a priority and how good of a program it is. I think that’s their way of showing how much of a priority I am, showing me the best parts of their program if that makes sense.” Maryland jumped into the mix with Hills back during his junior season where he started for the 2A state champion Milford Mill squad, giving him a chance to build out a regional offer list from several Power Four schools. Hills projects as an interior offensive lineman after spending the weekend with assistants Brian Braswell and Damian Wroblewski, giving the unit their third pledge of the cycle alongside Florida duo Lamar Williams and Ben Beymer. “I was watching them practice. They were getting better by the minute. Even their steps were getting better on the offensive line. I feel like coach Braswell is a really intelligent coach that I’d love to play for,” he added. Amory Hills is rated a three-star prospect and an 85 overall by On3, checking in as the 40th-best prospect in Maryland. Related Links
