Maryland knows Saturday’s matchup against Penn State goes beyond a score as the two regional rivals square off on the recruiting trail for seemingly every local prospect. This cycle, Maryland is in a battle with Penn State with coveted four-star linebacker Jaishawn Barham and went head-to-head with guys like OT Andre Roye and safety KJ Winston, while both schools find themselves in the top group for Ohio four-star tackle Aamil Wagner. The Terps know that Saturday’s contest goes a long way with Maryland’s recruiting efforts in 2022 and beyond and they’ll look to impress a host of local talent in the process.
