Jeff Exinor has established himself as a two-sport athlete in the 2025 class as the 6-foot-1, 205-pound four-star shines for McDonogh (MD) as a wide receiver while also hitting the hardwood with Team Thrill. Exinor has drawn early interest from Mount St. Mary’s, Sienna and George Washington for basketball, but the bulk of his college interest has come on the gridiron boasting a double-digit offer sheet featuring Boston College, Duke, Maryland, Michigan, Oregon, Penn State and Tennessee among others. Exinor made his way to Pitt, Virginia Tech and USC in June, but Maryland has been involved since the beginning. Former assistant Mike Miller initially led the way for Maryland after Exinor made his way to campus last year for a camp where he picked up the in-state offer, but offensive line coach Brian Braswell has led the way since. “At first I was really talking with coach Miller but then he left, so me and are starting to build the relationship a bit more,” Exinor told IBG. The local four-star made his way to campus for the SMU game last fall and was back on campus for last month’s 7-on-7, and now, he’ll head to Maryland on July 29. “Yessir I’ll be there. I was trying to visit before but we didn’t have time. It didn’t work out with the way the dead period was set up.” Maryland has plucked one target from the MIAA powerhouse over each of the last three cycles and Exinor’s connection to a pair of his teammates gives him a different perspective on the program. “I’ve also heard a lot because I have some teammates up there. Preston , he’s like my mentor. Tamarus , me and him are like brothers.” Exinor will look to bolster his relationship with Braswell and reconnect with head coach Mike Locksley as the Terps are in the mix early. “ has been up to the school multiple times, he’s our area recruiter. We’re getting to know each other a bit,” he added. “I went on a tour last summer when I went up for the camp when I got a little tour. They took me around, I haven’t seen much of the school yet but the sports facility, indoor fieldhouse which is huge. Probably one of the nicest ones I’ve seen from the colleges I’ve been to.” Exinor is rated a four-star prospect and a 90 overall by On3, sitting as the fifth-best prospect in Maryland and 184th-best in the country.
