While Maryland has been able to move the needle on a handful of their final 2025 targets ahead of their senior seasons picking up, multiple local 2026 targets made their way to College Park on Saturday. Gonzaga (DC) linebacker Tyson Harley has been on the radar since his freshman season before earning the offer from Maryland last June. The early 2026 target also made his way to College Park for a spring practice as the 6-foot-4, 220-pound target is plenty familiar with the local school, but he returned to campus on Saturday alongside his dad where he got a chance to connect with more of the defensive staff in a more relaxed setting. "It was a great experience, had a good time with all the coaches. I got a chance to talk with , Aazaar and ," Harley told IBG. "I feel like we just got a chance to know each other but I feel like it was just good conversations overall with the defensive staff. Overall I feel like I have a good relationship with all of them." Harley pointed to equal contact from the three Terps' assistants heading into his junior season, crediting the Terps for doing well to show how he fits into the scheme. "I like how my game and play style can fit what they do on defense. It makes me feel good and just the love they show me, it's been going really good." The same could be said for St. Frances (MD) offensive lineman Lamarcus Dillard, who has been able to build an early relationship with offensive line coach Brian Braswell. Maryland was the second Power Four offer for Dillard, who began his high school career at Riverdale Baptist before transferring after his freshman year, while West Virginia, Syracuse and Virginia Tech are among the other schools in contact heading into the fall. But for Dillard, who enters the season at 6-foot-2, 295-pounds, he admits he's high on the home team. "I like the Terps," Dillard added. "Me and have been talking a lot. It was good seeing him up there again this weekend. They haven't told me guard or center, just that I'm interior , but we've been able to build a good relationship." Neither Harley nor Dillard have been rated by On3.
