One week after returning multiple sidelined starters coming out of the bye week, Maryland returns home to host Penn State on Saturday with a largely clean injury report.
Linebacker Riyad Wilmot will miss his second consecutive game, while second-year running back Ramon Brown is sidelined one week after making his season debut. Maryland will also be without a pair of freshmen in receiver Ryan Manning and defensive tackle Lavon Johnson, while both defensive end Daniel Owens and running back Nolan Ray are unavailable. Meanwhile, former four-star Neeo Avery remains sidelined for at least another week as he was ruled out on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the long-awaited return of defensive end Chop Robinson won’t end up coming to fruition. The edge rusher is among those who have been ruled out for Penn State after missing a pair of practices earlier in the week following a concussion suffered against Indiana. Penn State will also be without receiver Harrison Wallace, safety Elliot Washington, safety Mekhai Flowers and defensive lineman Smith Vibert.
Penn State defensive end Amin Vanover is the lone player listed as questionable, while Maryland does not have anyone questionable heading into Saturday afternoon’s kickoff.
Maryland will look to pull off its first win against a top ten opponent since doing so against Boston College and QB Matt Ryan back in 2007. Maryland has not defeated Penn State in College Park since 1961.
Kickoff is set for 3:35 PM on FOX.Related Links
