Georgia Lineman Tabs Jones-Hill House as "Best I've Seen"

It was back on February 24th when Maryland extended an offer to Milton (GA) center Gilles Tchio as the Terps’ staff uncovered him and offensive tackle Maurice Clipper. The 6-foot-4, 280-pound prospect embarked on his first official visit to College Park over the weekend as Tchio was one of three official visitors this past weekend able to check out the new facility.

“I’d probably say the new facilities are the best I’ve seen,” Tchio tells Inside The Black and Gold.

Tchio and his family got the opportunity to talk to head coach Mike Locksley while on his visit and his message was clear.

“His main message is that it’d be a perfect fit for me and them right off of the bat”.

Tchio told Inside The Black and Gold that Maryland, Virginia Tech, and Georgia Southern are doing the best with staying consistent with him. He has an official visit scheduled for Virginia Tech the weekend of the 11th where he and his teammates, including Milton quarterback and Hokie verbal Devin Farrell, will get a chance to embark on an official together. Kansas also extended an offer back on June 1.

As for now, there are currently no schools in the lead for Tchio’s services. “Right now not really, I still need to get more of a feel for the other colleges before I can start cutting down.” Maryland already has one interior lineman committed to Coltin Deery, who will return to campus this upcoming Sunday.

Tchio is currently unrated by 247. You can watch his highlights here.
