Maryland men’s basketball now has its seventh portal commit of the offseason with former Washington State guard Isaiah Watts announcing his transfer into the program.
Watts, a 6-foot-3 guard originally out of Washington and grandson of former Sonics star Slick Watts, becomes the seventh portal commitment of the offseason as he joins former Indiana guard Myles Rice, former Kansas guard David Coit and several former Aggies in Pharrel Payne, Solomon Washington, Andre Mills and George Turkson.
Watts joins the program after spending two seasons at Washington State where he averaged 6.8 points per game over two seasons, but that was after stepping up as an impact player for the Cougars in 2024-25 after becoming one of just two players to return to the program in 2024-25.
Starting in 17 games and playing in six more, Watts averaged 11 points per game while shooting 38.9% from the field and 34.8% from three last season.
