Florida safety set to return to three schools in June

Maryland continues to add new names to its official visit list for the month of June as Phillips (FL) three-star safety Jashad Presley is set to make his third visit to College Park since picking up an offer as a sophomore. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound defensive back tells IBG he will officially visit Maryland the weekend of June 16 as outside linebacker coach James Thomas leads the way with another Florida target. "He's been recruiting me since my sophomore year," Presley told IBG. "Mainly him knowing my uncle. They went to high school together, played around together so I already had a connection. And just recruiting me, he's always been talking to me so that really means something when a coach can talk and connect with their guys. It makes me want to look at there more." Presley first visited Maryland for last year's spring game before returning again in the spring on a bus tour alongside Brandon Jacob and E'zaiah Shine where he got a chance to briefly reconnect with the staff before taking part in a 7-on-7 in D.C. The return trip will give his mom a chance to check out campus, something that's important to him. "Since I viewed almost everything the first time I went up there, I really want to get my mom up and have her see everything because she always wants to see the schools recruiting me. I'll be more laid back, let her take control." The Yellow Jackets will host Presley the weekend of June 23 as, just like Maryland, it'll be his third time on campus. "Georgia Tech came through in March, around spring break. I want to see more of them staying persistent like Maryland does, but they do a great job. They text me very often." UCF also has an official visit for this upcoming weekend, but that could switch to an unofficial as Presley preserves the possibility for a fall official visit. Aside from that, Presley is looking ahead to separating his suitors heading into an expected summer decision. "I want to get an official to Tennessee and Kentucky but my top six is really all I've got, all that's on my mind," Presley added. "I feel like I'll make the decision sometime in July." Presley is rated a three-star prospect and an 87 overall by On3, sitting as the 129th-best prospect in Florida.
