Maryland football will welcome its first group of official visitors this weekend, but more top targets continue to set plans to return to College Park as another Florida target is set to make his way to campus. Edgewater (FL) defensive end Josh Alexander-Felton tells IBG he will officially visit NC State the weekend of June 16th and Maryland the weekend of June 23rd. Alexander-Felton’s upcoming trip to Raleigh will mark his first with NC State jumping into the mix back in early March. Maryland, meanwhile, hosted Alexander-Felton for a visit during spring ball in April as outside linebacker coach James Thomas leads the way with defensive coordinator and position coach Brian Williams steadily building the relationship. https://twitter.com/__Thegreat5/status/1645533770596982785 “I talk with both of them,” Alexander-Felton told IBG. Alexander-Felton was able to see kicker Jack Howes, a fellow Edgewater grad, on his last visit while connecting with Florida natives Jordan Phillips, Jeshaun Jones and Fa’Najae Gotay. “The hospitality is great. I felt really welcomed when I went up there. This is a business trip now that it’s an official. I came up the first time to get a feel for it and I like the feeling, so I want to come down now with my family and want to see everything. NIL, how they see me fitting in.” Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Iowa State, Pitt and Rutgers are among the other schools who have offered the 6-foot-4, 240-pound lineman while Alexander-Felton is working on a visit with nearby UCF. “I’m trying to figure out dates for the other schools. I don’t have a top group right now so I’ll talk with my mom after these visits.” Alexander-Felton says he does not plan to release a top school list ahead of his intended summer commitment. As a junior, Josh Alexander-Felton tallied 59 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, four sacks and two pass breakups. Josh Alexander-Felton is rated a three-star prospect and an 87 overall by On3, sitting as the 117th-best prospect in Florida.
