Paint Branch (MD) edge rusher Yvan Kemajou had made his way to Maryland for home games against Indiana and Illinois in 2023, and the 6-foot-3, 230-pound outside linebacker target made his way back to College Park on Sunday. Sunday’s visit gave the local target a chance to reconnect with the coaching staff once more, but the biggest takeaway for him was getting a chance to see Jones-Hill House. “I saw the facilities a bit toward the end too, that was my first time. The locker room and game room was really impressive. I’ve seen the indoor field part because I was up there for a camp but that was it,” Kemajou told IBG. “I got a chance to see coach . They’ve been good about keeping in touch with me. It wasn’t anything in particular. They just wanted to show the facilities, everything they have.” Penn State and West Virginia are the latest two Power Five offers for Kemajou. Maryland was the second school to jump into the picture back in November and the staff made their way through Paint Branch, home of current receiver Octavian Smith, during the evaluation period earlier this month. “It’s a great program, close to home. It’s high on my list. Nice coaches, nice facilities. I have a pretty good idea where they want me.” Penn State hosted Kemajou for their junior day on Saturday, while Virginia Tech was the first Power Five school to extend an offer, just two weeks prior to Maryland, and the Hokies are up next with plans for Kemajou to head to Blacksburg next weekend. “I was mainly talking with coach Brooks but now it’s more coach Price,” he added. Yvan Kemajou is not yet rated by On3, but is rated a three-star prospect by Rivals. He was named first-team All-County after posting 46 total tackles, ten TFLs and 6.5 sacks as a junior.
