Details for Maryland football's home game vs. Wisconsin announced
Maryland football will hit the road this upcoming weekend for the first road game under interim head coach Aazaar Abdul-Rahim, yet details for the next home game were finalized on Monday.
The Big Ten announced that Maryland's home game on Nov. 14 vs. Wisconsin will kickoff at noon and air on FS1. This marks the first meeting between the two teams since Maryland secured a 27-10 win in Madison in 2025, which has since proven to be Maryland's last win against a Power Four and Big Ten team.
The Badgers entered the season in similar standing to Maryland with Luke Fickell in need of proving something in year four, but he's largely delivered in 2026. After securing a four-point win over then 13th-ranked Penn State, Wisconsin moved to 4-1 following a 28-point win vs. Michigan State. The Badgers have since lost two of their last three games, but the win came at home after taking down 16th ranked USC, 24-7. The Trojans followed it up by taking down Ohio State, but the Badgers failed to build on the second ranked win after climbing into the top 25 yet falling at Iowa, 30-0, to close October.
The Badgers will look to secure bowl eligibility when they face Rutgers this upcoming weekend, while Maryland will look to end its slide in West Lafayette. Despite Saturday also marking the final chance for Maryland to secure bowl eligibilty with four wins needed over the final four games, Abdul-Rahim has maintained the team's focus on the present while being "consistent in our behaviors."
“We got to continue down the same road where it becomes redundant, where it becomes pretty much the same thing. So we're not changing anything anymore. I think we'll refine what we have, but we're not going to change. It won't be a new message. It's going to be the same message. It should be plain Jane, keeping the main thing the main thing. So that's kind of the focus. I think we've got the infrastructure of what we want to get accomplished these next four weeks, and we want to continue to refine that infrastructure.”
