A handful of top targets from Florida made their way to campus for Maryland football’s spring game over the weekend and now, the staff is in position to bring back one priority target for his third official visit.
UCT verbal and Wekiva (FL) three-star defensive end Sincere Edwards tells IBG he will officially visit Maryland the weekend of June 16.
“Just because I’ve got my officials set to Pitt and UCF. I wanted to put Maryland in there too. That’s a school that I really like,” Edwards told IBG. Edwards will officially visit UCF the first weekend of June, then Maryland, then Pitt during the final weekend of June.
Outside linebacker coach James Thomas and defensive coordinator Brian Williams have led the charge for the 6-foot-3, 240-pound defensive end as he returned to campus over the weekend to get another look at campus on Saturday before briefly reconnecting on Sunday morning.
“They do a good job of making me feel like I’m at home and they do a good job recruiting me. I show love to those who show love to me.“ Aside from the spring game itself, Edwards got extended one-on-one time with Williams on the visit. “A lot of stuff we did on my first visit but this one was chill. I sat down and watched film with coach B-Will, then watched the spring game and soaked in the atmosphere. They see me as a three tech, situational defensive end as well.”
Edwards is rated a three-star prospect and an 87 overall by On3, sitting as the 113th-best prospect in Florida.Related Links Notes coming out of spring game (+)
