The need at running back wasn’t a dire priority this cycle, but with senior Challen Faamatau departing following the 2022 season, there was one spot to find the right guy. Brother Rice (MI) three-star running back Nolan Ray was someone that the staff liked and were in pursuit of dating back to last month with offensive coordinator Dan Enos leading the pursuit, but things didn’t materialize until the last two months.
