St. Frances offensive tackle Jude Bowry took his second official visit over the weekend, this time to Maryland as the Terps’ staff let it be known that the 6-foot-7 tackle is a priority in College Park.
“It went good,” Bowry said. “It’s a good school, great guys and I had a great time there.” Bowry added that veteran tackle Spencer Anderson hosted him as Bowry took advantage of the chance to ask a current player more questions. “He just enjoyed his time there, everything. Being a hometown kid too, that was cool to here.”
His official ended with a lengthy conversation with head coach Mike Locksley and to Bowry, the staff made it known they want him in the Terps’ class. “He wanted me to know that he has a good program and he wants me to be a part of it.”
Coming out of the official visit, Bowry confirmed that he will not take any more visits and is down to Maryland and Boston College. The Eagles hosted Bowry on an official last weekend as former Terps’ assistant Aazaar Abdul-Rahim is leading the charge. But Maryland left a noticeable impression coming out of the trip, including a clear message after meeting offensive line coach Brian Braswell.
“Just be yourself, we have the guys here to bring good football to the program,” Bowry added. “It was cool.”
