Dundalk (MD) offensive lineman Greg Maddox has made his way to College Park for camps and games in the past and followed through on his planned visit to Maryland on Saturday, marking his final visit before he begins his junior season. The 6-foot-4, 285-pound lineman has been steadily hearing from position recruiter Brian Braswell since mid-June as the two sides have drilled into the football side of his recruitment, and though he's become increasingly comfortable around the hometown school, Saturday’s visit also gave him a chance to see a different side from his lead recruiter. “I got to meet with coach Braswell a little bit, had some fun. We were talking about what he does with the line and how things work out. But then I feel like it was more them trying to get to know me more outside of football this time. Trying to build a relationship and get closer with me,” he told IBG. “With coach Bras, I definitely got closer with him. I’m supposed to get on the phone with coach Locks this week too.” Maddox noted the Terps’ emphasis on local talent in the 2025 cycle and Saturday’s visit gave him a chance to gel with several of the key pieces already in the fold. “There was a couple of people like Malik Washington and a couple of the other commits that I knew so we were just hanging out,” Maddox added. Braswell has paved the way since the Terps became Maddox’s second Power Four offer ahead of his sophomore season, while Virginia Tech, Penn State, Pitt and Boston College have jumped into the mix since then. With the possible tackle target eyeing fall visits and a potential return to College Park for a home game, Maddox knows what he wants to see more of from the hometown team. “I want to see the offensive line to see how coaches in the game, the steps they take, how they progress through the game.” Greg Maddox is not yet rated by On3.
