Young Terps: Maryland football closes home slate vs. Michigan, basketball looks to rebound vs. ‘Nova

Welcome back to the latest episode of Young Terps where Ahmed Ghafir and Mason Viener take you back into the latest surrounding Maryland athletics.

After dropping both games in the Asheville Tournament last weekend, Maryland will have a chance to reset the season just four games in with a marquee opponent up next on the schedule. Maryland and head coach Kevin Willard will take the Terps to Philly to take on ‘Nova, who is coming off a humbling 76-72 loss to UPenn. Should Maryland expect the Wildcats to be fired up, but more importantly, will the Terps be fired up? We dive into the matchup as the Terps look to add a quality nonconference win to the NCAA Tournament resume.

We switch over to football where head coach Mike Locksley will close out the home slate of year five with the second-ranked Michigan Wolverines coming to College Park. Maryland struggled two weeks prior against a stingy Penn State defense, but after coming off a bowl-clinching win versus Nebraska, the Terps will face another tough defense against a Wolverines defense that has star power both in the front seven and in the secondary. How will the Terps fare, and what needs to happen in order to find success?

Plus, we close the show out by giving our betting takes for this weekend’s game, plus dish out a handful of attractive prop bets that stick out.
