Howerton, a 6-foot-4, 295-pound lineman, announced his commitment to Maryland over Pittsburgh and West Virginia back in mid-July and never wavered in his decision, becoming a key piece in the Terps’ incoming class. Howerton was among the eight offensive linemen that head coach Mike Locksley signed in the 2024 cycle, and the local lineman touches on the impact and future of the position.
