Maryland football adds Villanova, Toledo to future schedule

Maryland football has announced two opponents to its future schedule, now set to host Villanova in 2024 and Toledo in 2029.

Maryland previously announced the matchup against Toledo for September 21, 2024 but that game has since been moved to September 1, 2029. Maryland’s game against Villanova has replaced next season’s game against Toledo, while Maryland will host both schools at SECU Stadium.

Maryland has never faced Toledo, while they hold a 9-2 all-time lead against Villanova with the Terps winning the last matchup, 31-14, back in 2007.

Maryland is also scheduled to host UConn on August 31, 2024 along with the second in a home-and-home with Virginia, with the return date set for September 14.

Maryland will begin conference play this weekend when they travel to East Lansing to face Michigan State on NBC.

The Terps return home on Saturday, Sept. 30 to take on Indiana as part of University of Maryland’s Family Weekend. To purchase tickets, click here
