Friendship four-star DT Bryce Jenkins locks in two official visits

Maryland has already been able to set a long line of official visits with its local targets and another now has plans in place to check out College Park this summer.

Friendship (DC) four-star defensive tackle Bryce Jenkins doesn’t have any plans to make it out to any schools with spring practice starting up around the country, but the top-300 prospect has dates locked in for two official visits in June.

“I’m going to Maryland on June 7 and Tennessee on June 20,” Jenkins told IBG.

LSU, Miami (FL), Ole Miss, Penn State, Rutgers, South Carolina and Wisconsin are among the double-digit offers for Jenkins, widely viewed among the top interior defensive linemen in the area.

Jenkins made his way to College Park for a pair of games last year and returned for the Michigan State game back in January as Maryland has made the local four-star a priority through his junior year. The addition of Aazaar Abdul-Rahim–who produced multiple NFL players during his time as Friendship’s head coach–has added another familiar face to the pursuit in the new year. The fact that the Terps are local resonates with Jenkins, but Maryland’s recruiting efforts beyond that have made them a factor in his recruitment.

“I’m interested to see everything but I like the feeling that I have when I go to Maryland. It’s home but they make me feel at home already, so it’s a welcoming feeling.”

Bryce Jenkins is rated a four-star prospect and a 90 overall by On3, sitting as the third-best prospect in D.C. in the 2025 class.
