Corey Dyches, Dante Trader, Corey Bullock ruled out for Maryland vs. Illinois

Maryland will have a long list of players sidelined on Saturday vs. Illinois with the Terrapins releasing their injury report ahead of kickoff.

Safety Dante Trader Jr., cornerback Tarheeb Still, running back Ramon Brown, tight end Corey Dyches, outside linebacker Riyad Wilmot, offensive guard Corey Bullock, outside linebacker Neeo Avery and defensive back Caleb Atogho were all ruled out against Illinois. Freshman linebacker DJ Samuels is the lone player ruled ‘questionable’ heading into kickoff.

Saturday marks the second consecutive missed game for Still, who went down in the second half of the week five win versus Indiana. Trader Jr., meanwhile, suffered a lower-leg injury on a pursuit of TE Cade Stover in the fourth quarter of last week’s loss. Bullock, meanwhile, was sidelined on the first series of the second half with Andre Roye stepping in as the starter.

Maryland altered their offensive line in practice earlier this week, with Aric Harris taking over at center while DJ Glaze and Gottlieb Ayedze took over left and right guard. Andre Roye filled in as the first-team right tackle during the open portion, while former tight end-turned-lineman Conor Fagan was in at left tackle.

Glen Miller filled in alongside Beau Brade at safety, while Corey Coley will likely step back into the starting role opposite of Ja’Quan Sheppard.

Illinois will also be without running back Reggie Love III, vaulting freshman Kaden Feagin as the expected starter out of the backfield. Wide receiver Malik Elzy and defensive lineman Keith Randolph Jr. were also ruled out on Saturday.
