2025 QB Ahmir Lowery ready to hit the ground running at Arundel

After transferring from St. Vincent Pallotti following his sophomore year, 2025 quarterback Ahmir Lowery is ready to hit the ground running at Arundel High (MD) as the 6-foot, 180-pound quarterback has been consistent with his training through the offseason.

“I feel like mentally, I’m more ready now,” Lowery said. Part of that confidence stems from Lowery’s insistence on working with his new wideouts, along with other local skill players to work on his craft.

“I work out with my receivers with my team. I have a friend who goes to Rock Creek, I throw with him sometimes,” he added. “All my life I’ve been a leader so it’s something already instilled in me that I need to be a leader for my teammates, keep them up. Working on throwing the receivers open instead of while they get open. Throw it to them when they’re even with the DBs, looking at the DB’s leverage. Knowing what I can, what I can’t throw.”

Part of that offseason development in his mechanics stems from his training at QB Factory, where he plans to train through his junior season. “Coach Baucia helped me a lot with knowing what to do in different situations, helping break down film, knowing how the DBs play, ball placement. He’s just helping my mechanics more.”

Villanova and Western Michigan have shown interest heading into the fall as Lowery looks to throw for “at least 3,000 yards and I want at least eight rushing touchdowns over 20 yards. “

With a 3.7 GPA heading into his junior year, Lowery is ready for coaches to get to know him off the field too.

“I’m a good overall person. I always make sure people around me are doing the right things, including myself. I make sure everybody else is good before I’m good. I had above a 3.6 GPA last year. I take school very seriously.”
